Doesn't She Break Your Heart?

This past week was quite eventful for Aspen and all her new milestones. It's so exciting seeing her grow up. Every week she gets bigger and bigger and suddenly can do things out of the blue.

On Sunday last week Aspen had her first official NFL Sunday football day. As many of you know, on Sunday during football season the Dzubinski's are not available except to devote themselves to watching as many games as possible. I was a little nervous for this season, afraid that Aspen may not be as big of a football fan as her parents. Boy was I wrong! She did awesome, especially during the Cowboys game (it's like she knew this was a good time to be a good girl). Jason's sister Sarah, her husband Brian, and their son Cameron game over to watch the Cowboys. Jason made an awesome spread of food with bruschetta, crab cakes, strawberries, and grapes. It was fun watching the game with the Witgens and it gave us some in sight into what we will need to baby proof eventually (their son Cameron just about got into everything he could reach!).
At the end of the day Aspen was totally wiped out from all the football activities that she just passed out in my lap.

This past Wednesday was Aspen's 6 week old birthday. There are so many small (but big in my eyes) changes that have happened. The best change so far is the fact that she is smiling (and not just when she passes gas). It literally breaks my heart when this little faces looks back at me and whips out that smile. She also has started to enjoy playing on her belly more and has a ton of neck control already. Throughout the day she has started cooing more, which is always a nice break from a cry. I like to listen to her cooing and guess what she is trying to say...most of the time I'm sure it's "Mommy...I'm hungry!".

It's been an exhausting first 6 weeks, but so incredibly rewarding in so many ways. We can't wait to see what comes about in the months ahead.

Her smile is incredible. Can't wait to babysit again. Jason made quite a spread. I to think I have an "Iron Chef" in my house and didn't know it.

She is a quick study. Looks like she doing "touchdown" in her sleep.
Keep this blog going.

Hey Barcelona Bonzai: You can take your bruschetta and stuff it up straight up your endzone! Let me get it right with you, monsieur le iron chip: la Juene Fille, elle est un Patriot du Novelle Angleterre!

Ne jamais l'oublier. D'accord?
