Goodbye Arcadia!

This Thursday we move to our new house and we are so excited. Sometimes we pull up the pictures we took of the new house and just watch the slideshow for fun. It's quite an exhausting processes selling, buying, and then packing our lives, but completely worth it!

I had to take a one last cute picture of Aspen  in front of her very first home. This front porch has been home to many photo shoots her short, little life. I know she won't remember this house, but I know she has loved living here for the past 2 years. We have made awesome friends and it's been a great place for our family.

We brought Aspen with us to the closing. She did awesome by mostly keeping herself entertained with the swivel chairs. Aspen got to know our realator John Dunham pretty well during this process. Now I think she thinks they are buds :)

Of course, Jason and I were so excited for this new adventure!

We have spent all weekend packing for the big move on Thursday. It's been hard, but I'm really called that I feel ready for the move and not 'last minute' about things. We did have to deliver our good chicken friend Toula to a neighbor today because we will not be continuing our chicken ownership at the new house. I think she will probably be happier in her new setup with 20 other chickens! She was great chicken and I know Aspen will surely miss her, "Bock, Bock".

Depending on when we get our internet set up at the new digs I'll start to share pictures. We can't wait to share it with everyone!

Fall Fun

Yesterday I took Aspen to the Elgin Christmas Tree Farm for their October Fest. We met some friends there for a great morning and pinic lunch. The kids had a great time and I think the mom's did too. It was gorgeous weather, couldn't beat that kind of day!

These kiddos are so adorable. We gave them all lollipops so it was hard to get some shots without the suckers in their mouth, but they were happy and sometimes that's all that matters!

This little princess (Sarah Livingston) is my favorite baby---she was so happy the whole time!

Of course this other princess is number 1 in my life!

Me and my monkey :)

I was glad we did the photo shoot as soon as we got to the farm. All the kiddos were in a good mood and pretty cooperative. When Jason asked Aspen what she did at the Pumpkin Patch she responded, "Say Cheese!". I guess all she could rember was her mother demanding the smiles.

All the kids got a little pumpkin to decorate. I think the kids had a great time doing this and all their little pumpkins were so adorable!

Of course during pumpkin decorating my camera battery died...not the best planner at times! We got to go on a hay ride (which Aspen LOVED), enjoyed a delicious pinic lunch, and then finished the afternoon off in a "corn maze".

If you're looking for an activity to get you into the fall spirit I would highly recommend it! I love making these types of memories. We are gearing up to move next week. I can't believe how fast the whole house process went for us, but it's so exciting. I can't wait to share more with you!

Two Year Stats

My blogging days are few and far between lately. Sometimes it's hard for me to take a moment to write about all the things my monkey is up to...it's just easier to live it! :)

But, in case I do want to look back on this in a couple of years and wonder, "How big was Aspen was she was two years old?", I'll have it all documented.

Weight: 26lbs 2oz. (50% ile)

Height: 34 1/2in. (75% ile)

Head Circumference: 48.8 cm. (75% ile)

Body Mass Index (BMI): 15.5%  (25% ile)

All in all, she is very healthly! And the doctor was SUPER impressed that she was potty trained--she even got an extra sticker for that one!
